Part 1
Tailgate Rubber Seal
See ref "1" in Reference image 1.
I am proud to be the first to offer these long sought after and desperately needed 1968 to 1972 Station Wagon tailgate weather striping reproductions. These will fit all gm A-body station wagons. Single and Dual action tailgates. Now there are cheaper copies coming up in various places for sale, don't be fooled, mine have the correct cross section as seen on the right. Buy only the best for your restoration. For the B-body wagons this seal may need some custom fitting. But there are currently no alternatives. The B-body seals also come with 6" more extrusion material to compensate for the wider body. These come with the 4 black push pins.

Tailgate Window Rubber Channel Weatherstrip
See ref "2" in Reference image 1.
I am proud to be the first and only to offer these long sought after and desperately need window channel reproductions. These high quality replacements mount in the metal channel up in the pillars and roof line so that when the tailgate window is up it creates the seal.
These are cut and notched like the factory did it so that the weather-stripping forms around the corners without kinking up. Ready to be installed. Some slight trimming may be necessary to fit the exact length of your window channel after installation. They pop easily into your metal tracks with a perfect fit.

Part 4
1968-1972 A-body Window Vertical Channel
I am happy to announce that the 1968-1972 A-body wagon tailgate window vertical channel with the molded rubber boot on the top (that is visible on the top edge of the tailgate) are now available!
- Suggested Track Installation: Drill out the head of the original rivets holding the original top parts on your tracks. Install with supplied new rivets with rivet head inside the track insuring that nothing is protruding into the track that may cause interference to the tailgate glass. Once installed in the tailgate, it may be necessary to use a little black RTV to have the top rubber flaps hold tight to your tailgate skin.
- Suggested Re-line Tracking Installation: Cut liner to exact length, spray adhesive to back side of liner (cover the part of the liner that overhangs to only get adhesive on liner that will be in contact with the metal channel). It is advised to not cut the side overhanging material so that you have something to pull during the alignment procedure. Use a ¼” thick paint stick to push and hold the liner inside the channel. Align the liner so that the fuzzy material is not higher than the edge of the channel on either side as it fills the curvature of the channel. Once the glue is dry cut the excess liner down to the channel as show in a picture of the final product.
Parts are noted with and without core exchanges.

1964-1967 A-Body Tailgate Vertical Window Track Assembly/Components
Use the photograph below (Image 3) as a reference for listed parts.
I am happy to announce that the 1964-1967 A-body wagon tailgate window vertical channel with the molded rubber boot on the top (that is visible on the top edge of the tailgate) are finally available. I am not sure how long I will be making these because they are quite time consuming to produce, so the pricing is accordingly.
- Suggested Installation: Drill out the head of the original rivets holding the original top parts on your tracks. The top rivet goes thru the channel, the steel bracket molded into the top rubber and the threaded mount. The bottom rivet only goes thru the channel and the threaded mount. The bracket molded into the rubber tops are only held on by one rivet and locked in place by the other. So to clarify, the bottom hole in the metal of the rubber top does not get a rivet through it. Noticeable in the lower picture to the right. This was an adjustment that would just cost too much to go back and change the molds. Sorry, but rest assured the part is secured just as well. Install with supplied new rivets with rivet head inside the track insuring that nothing is protruding into the track that may cause interference to the tailgate glass. After installing the new tops, it would be recommended to then replace the liners (4B) to prevent the glass from scrapping the rivets. Once installed in the tailgate, it may be necessary to use a little black RTV to have the top rubber flaps hold tight to your tailgate skin.
Parts are noted with and without core exchanges.

1964 Oddball Channels
***Please Specify When Ordering***
If your Channels look like this, as I have seen on some 1964's, I have the solution. I have seen this style occurring just on the passenger's side but I also have seen this style on both sides. Be sure. The top mounting screw can be seen in the tailgate jam. Some people have made the other style work by drilling a new hole in the jam metal to make a new screw mounting location.
Everything above applies to the Drivers side. Order from part numbers above, just identify if you have this style.

Step 1
To prepare your right hand (passenger side track is to cut off about 1/8" from the top as shown in these 2 pictures.
Step 2
Fit new molded rubber top into position as shown.
Step 3
Match drill using 1/8" drill bit through track and metal of top piece about 3/4" from the nearest existing rivet as shown.
Step 4
After cleaning and painting the channel to your liking, install with supplied new rivets with rivet head inside the track insuring that nothing is protruding into the track that may cause interference to the tailgate glass. As seen here, the squeezed part of the rivet is on outside of the track but still under the bracket.
Step 5
Install new liner part 4B into channel overlapping the new molded top as shown.

1969-1972 Tailgate Power Lock Assembly and Parts
Part 7
Tailgate Power Lock Parts
- Suggested Installation: To trip the switch that lets you put the window up while the tailgate is open, stick a screwdriver into the latch mechanism as shown below and flip the latch to the position that it would be in if the gate was closed. Now the window will go up with the power switch. Once up, you can access the retainer clip shown in the middle picture below. Remove the wire connector retaining cap and wire connector. Replace the Bezel, gasket and lock cylinder. Reconnect wire connector and cap. Reinstall and be sure to put the assemble through the retainer clip. Pull the retainer clip to secure the assembly against the tailgate skin. The clip can be very difficult to install. It is a very tight spot to work and the clip has to catch the lock cylinder in the grooves to be secured.
