Engineered Innovative New Stuff That You Need

CHOPPED 1972 CHEVELLE ! 4 INCH VERTICAL DROP!

I have dreamt of having a yellow chopped Chevelle since I bought my first car back in 1988, which was a Chevelle. As barely seen in the picture, on the roof is a plastic model that I chopped and painted yellow many many years ago.

My dream finally came true after all these years. In the picture above, taken back in 1997, that is my Son holding up the pieces while I get the stilts in place prior to welding. You can see all the sections that the roof was cut into before being filled with steel. These spaces were necessary to keep the original angle of the windows.

Originally I was going to make the roof fiberglass and removable, but then realized I would have difficulty taking the roof on and off and storing it. It just would not be practical. The compromise was a Cadillac power sun roof.

The Drive Train is a 350 with a TH350 trany and 355 12 bolt posi rear.  Body Mods consist of a 4 chopped roof, painted bumpers and a GM non functioning cowl induction hood. This car has no rust and all its original metal. Custom tempered rear glass and side glass.

Some of the factory options include; power disc brakes, power steering and tilt wheel steering column. I have added full reclining bucket seats. I have many custom things to add. I have already and am in the process of adding power windows and locks, keyless entry, Vintage Air Conditioning, headlight warning buzzer, air horns, black grill with bowtie emblem, Heavy Chevy stripes, power trunk opener and trunk light, rear defogger and a new stereo system with XM radio, sway bars and rear aluminum brake drums, folding wagon rear seat, and gauges.

This picture was taken at a car show here on Smith Mountain Lake with my son. 11/16/06
